ABOUT HOLLAND BROOKS EVENT SPACE & DISTILLERY
Lexington's Premier Wedding Venue
Holland Brooks, once the site of Lexington Furniture Plant 1's "finishing line," endured a period of abandonment after the plant's closure in 2003. Left vacant for over a decade, the property was eventually acquired by the City of Lexington, only to be purchased by Michael Tesh in 2019.
By then, years of neglect had taken their toll, leaving the structure in dire need of repair.
Beginning construction in 2022, extensive renovations were undertaken, including the replacement of damaged roof and floor systems. Despite the challenges, efforts were made to preserve the property's rich history, with original brick walls being exposed and restored through sandblasting. Furthermore, the renovation involved lowering floors to enhance the space's grandeur and adding a second-floor mezzanine for additional seating and elevated perspectives during events.
The transformation has turned the space into one of the Triad's premier wedding and music venues, offering an industrial chic atmosphere perfect for elegant weddings and other events.
